As part of the UK-Serbia Technology Trade Mission, which was held on May 29, 2025. in Science and Technology Park Novi Sad, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between NTP Novi Sad and the British-Serbian Chamber of Commerce. On the same occasion, the British-Serbian Chamber of Commerce signed an agreement with the University of Cambridge, which further strengthens cooperation in the field of science, education and innovation.
The event was realized in cooperation with our member company Bee IT, the British-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the Embassy of Great Britain and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. This event represents one of the most significant bilateral meetings in the field of technology and innovation, the aim of which is to connect Serbian and British companies, institutions and researchers.
“It is a great honor that we are the hosts of such an important mission and that today, in our Park, we are opening new doors of cooperation between two dynamic innovation communities. The signed agreements lay the foundation for future joint projects and are a recognition of what NTP Novi Sad has been building for years – connecting science, business and international partners. We are especially glad that the role of the Park has been recognized as a place that can be a bridge to British institutions, companies and universities,” said Prof. Srđan Kolaković, Ph.D., director of NTP Novi Sad.
Throughout the day, panel discussions, B2B meetings and workshops were held at NTP Novi Sad on topics such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, cyber security, technology transfer and connecting the academic community with industry.
This important event was also attended by: His Excellency Mr. Edward Ferguson, Ambassador of Great Britain to Serbia, Mr. Chris Barton, Trade Commissioner of the United Kingdom for Europe, Lord Ian Balfe, a long-time member of the British Parliament, Mrs. Sophie Honey, First Secretary of the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Serbia, Mr. Stephen Oxley, Head of the Bilateral Trade Department at the UK Ministry of Business and Trade, Mr. Simon Jeffs, President of the British-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, as well as Mr. Philip Boyce, representative of the University of Cambridge, with numerous representatives of British technology companies, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, domestic technology companies, the academic community and the innovation ecosystem.
